Symptom
- The belt makes a squeaking and/or cracking noise while riding.
Possible Causes
- The carbon belt is on too tightly
- The carbon belt is defective
Solution
1. Adjust the carbon belt tension by first loosening the axle nut, then by either loosening or tightening the long bolt (indicated by the green arrow). Tightening the bolt (moving it in the direction of the red arrow) increases the belt tension, whereas loosening the bolt (moving it in the direction of the purple arrow) decreases the belt tension.
2. Adjust the tension of the carbon belt until the belt rotates smoothly and no longer makes a squeaking or cracking sound as you ride the bike.
