Introduction
If your bike keeps falling over while it's leaning on the kickstand, you may have to adjust the kickstand's length to help its stability. This article will teach you how to shorten or extend the kickstand.
Tools Required
- 4mm Allen Key
Instructions
- Loosen the bolt found behind the kickstand with the 4mm Allen Key. Loosen it just enough so that the lower shaft can be adjusted. Loosening the bolt too much may cause the internal locking plate to fall off.
- Adjust the lower shaft to the ideal length.
- Tighten the bolt with the 4mm Allen Key.
- Test the kickstand by leaning the bike onto it slowly to ensure that the bolt was tightened enough for it to withstand the weight.
- Repeat steps 1 through 4 until the desired result is achieved.
