Introduction
For those with range anxiety or just need some extra juice for long rides, installing a secondary battery is the best option. With a secondary battery, you effectively double the range of your Rize Bike! The video instructions included in this article will show you how to install the secondary battery so you can enjoy its benefits.

Special Notes
The Secondary Battery has a built-in power switch. The bike will not draw power from the Secondary Battery if the power switch is in the "Off" position. The built-in LED battery indicator will also not work if the power switch is in the "Off" position.
The Secondary Battery will provide power regardless of the position the key is in, locked or unlocked.

1. Remove the mounting bracket from your Secondary Battery by sliding it off. This can be found attached to the back of the Secondary Battery. You may need to unlock it with the key before you're able to remove it.

2. Loosen and remove the mounting bolts from the topside of the downtube. Set them down in a safe place for later use.
3. Attach the bracket to your bike with the mounting bolts as shown in the picture below, making sure the power cable is pointing downwards.
4. Connect the power plug from the Secondary Battery bracket to the Secondary Battery port on the bike as shown in the picture below.
5. Slide the Secondary Battery onto the bracket with a downward motion and lock it in place. The result should be similar to what's present in the picture below.
